Invitation for NEMO designation
According to Article 4 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a guideline on capacity allocation and congestion management (OJ L 197, 25. 7. 2015; hereinafter referred to as Regulation 2015/1222) the Energy Agency (hereinafter referred to as the agency) invites all interested candidates to apply to be designated as a nominated electricity market operator for the performance of tasks related to single day-ahead or single intraday coupling (hereinafter referred to as NEMO) in the Republic of Slovenia.
The agency will designate the IOTEE for an indefinite period of time by decision. If the agency finds that an already designated IOTEE no longer meets the criteria set out in Article 6 of Regulation 2015/1222 and is unable to meet those criteria within six months of being notified of such failure, the agency may revoke its decision on the basis of Article 4(8) of Regulation 2015/1222.
Candidates must send their applications to be designated as a NEMO by 27 October 2023. The applications must be submitted in physical form or an electronic form by using electronic signature with a qualified digital certificate. The applications must be submitted in Slovenian language, except for the evidence of compliance with the criteria set out in Article 6 of Regulation 2015/1222, which may also be in English. Where necessary, the agency may request a certified translation of individual documents in Slovenian language.
Following the second paragraph of Article 4 of Regulation (EC) No 2015/1222, the agency will deal with any new NEMO designation applications received after the deadline mentioned above in the designation process of a NEMO in the following calendar year after receiving the application.
